AlienTech KTAG — Bench ECU Programmer via BDM, JTAG, and Boot
The KTAG is AlienTech's bench tool for direct reading and writing to the ECU board, without going through the OBD bus. It connects to the BDM (Background Debug Mode), JTAG, or boot pins on the board, allowing full access to Flash and EEPROM memory even in ECUs with anti-read protection, locked, or without OBD communication. It is the essential tool for professional electronic repair of damaged ECUs.
What is the KTAG System
The KTAG operates with a physical dongle (AlienTech authentication hardware) and permanent FIDs — each FID enables a specific ECU family and is permanently linked to the dongle. Access is made directly to the board with adapters that connect to the BDM, JTAG points, or memory boot pins.
