Logistics and Shipping Policy: ECM Tech Center

Version: 1.1, August 2026
Last updated: 08/16/2026

ECM Tech Center operates two distinct logistics flows: shipping a module for repair (the customer sends us the module) and delivery of a purchased module (we send the product to the customer). This policy describes the rights and obligations of each party in each flow, based on the CDC, Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, Law No. 8.078/1990), the Código Civil (Brazilian Civil Code, Law No. 10.406/2002) and the operating conditions of Correios (the Brazilian postal service).

FLOW 1: SHIPPING A MODULE FOR REPAIR (customer ships to ECM)

1.1 Choosing the destination workshop

The customer must send the module to the workshop serving their region. Sending it to the wrong workshop causes delays, and the additional redirection shipping cost is borne by the customer:

Region of origin Destination workshop Contact to confirm the address
North, Northeast Tabuleiro do Norte, CE WhatsApp +55 88 99704-1186
South, Southeast, Center-West Curitiba, PR WhatsApp +55 67 99640-4607

The full address of each workshop is provided via WhatsApp before shipping. Do not ship the module without confirming the address: changes to operating addresses are not communicated in real time on the website.

1.2 Obligation to package properly

The customer is responsible for properly packaging the electronic module. Electronic modules are highly sensitive to vibration, impact and electrostatic discharge (ESD). The minimum recommended packaging is:

  • Bubble wrap completely surrounding the part;
  • A rigid cardboard box with the empty space filled (styrofoam, paper, foam);
  • Sealing and moisture protection, especially for shipments from inland areas of the country.

ECM Tech Center is not responsible for physical damage to the module resulting from inadequate packaging, and the sender bears the burden of proving the packaging conditions in the event of a dispute.

1.3 Responsibility during transport (customer → ECM)

The shipping cost for sending the defective module to ECM is the customer's responsibility. During this leg, responsibility for the module lies with the carrier hired by the customer. In the event of loss or damage confirmed by the carrier, ECM Tech Center guides the customer on how to file a claim with the carrier or with Correios.

1.4 Receipt confirmation time

Upon receiving the module, ECM Tech Center confirms receipt via WhatsApp within 1 (one) business day of physical receipt. If no confirmation is received within 3 business days after the estimated delivery date, this must be reported to customer service immediately.

1.5 Responsibility while in ECM Tech Center's possession

While the module is under ECM Tech Center's responsibility (from receipt confirmation until return shipment), the company is liable for damage caused by improper handling at the workbench, internal losses or loss not caused by the carrier. ECM Tech Center maintains internal control of module check-in, check-out and location by service order number.

1.6 Return of the repaired module (ECM → customer)

Once the repair is completed, the module is returned to the address provided by the customer at the time of contact. The return shipping cost is stated in the quote and paid by the customer together with the service fee, except in situations covered by the warranty (shipping paid by ECM Tech Center).

1.7 Quote not approved

If the customer does not approve the quote or does not respond within 7 (seven) calendar days after the proposal is sent, the module will be returned to the address of origin. The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost. No other amount is charged by ECM Tech Center in this situation.

FLOW 2: DELIVERY OF A PURCHASED MODULE (ECM ships to the customer)

2.1 Order processing

After payment is confirmed, the product is picked, inspected and packed within 2 (two) business days. Orders placed after 2:00 p.m. are processed on the next business day.

2.2 Delivery options and times

Option Estimated time Note
SEDEX 2 to 7 business days Recommended for urgent or high-value modules
PAC 8 to 15 business days Most economical option for flexible timelines

Delivery times are estimates based on Correios standards. Remote regions and hard-to-reach areas may take longer. Delays caused by strikes, natural disasters or high seasonal demand are beyond ECM Tech Center's control.

2.3 Tracking

All shipments have a tracking code, sent to the customer's WhatsApp or e-mail within 3 (three) business days after dispatch. Tracking is available at rastreamento.correios.com.br or through the Correios app.

2.4 Transport risk and transfer of responsibility

Under art. 492 of the Código Civil (Civil Code), the transport risk lies with the seller until actual delivery to the customer or to the carrier designated by the buyer. In the event of loss or damage during transport contracted by ECM Tech Center, ECM Tech Center is responsible for compensating the customer (and may seek recourse against the carrier).

2.5 Shipping insurance

For high-value modules (over R$ 500.00), we recommend purchasing shipping insurance at the time of dispatch. This option can be included in the shipping cost upon request. Modules without a declared real value are subject to the maximum compensation limits of Correios in case of loss.

DELIVERY PROBLEMS: WHAT TO DO

3.1 Product not received after the estimated time

Contact us via WhatsApp with your order number and tracking code. Our team checks the status with Correios and replies within 24 business hours. If tracking shows that the product is being held at a Correios facility, the recipient has 7 calendar days to pick it up after notification; after that period, the product is returned to the sender.

3.2 Recipient absent at delivery

If the recipient is not found, Correios makes up to 3 (three) delivery attempts on consecutive days. After these attempts, the product is available for pickup at the nearest post office for 7 (seven) calendar days. If it is not picked up within that period, the product is returned to ECM Tech Center. In this case, reshipping is charged to the customer.

3.3 Incorrect address

The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the address on file. If an incomplete or incorrect address prevents delivery, the product is returned to ECM Tech Center and a new reshipping fee will be charged. An address update before dispatch can be requested free of charge.

3.4 Loss confirmed by Correios

ECM Tech Center opens the claim procedure with the carrier and, once the loss is confirmed, arranges for reshipment of the product (when available) or a full refund, according to the customer's preference, within 15 (fifteen) business days after the claim is confirmed.

3.5 Product damaged on delivery

If the package arrives with visible damage: refuse the delivery and notify us immediately. If you have already accepted it: contact us within 7 (seven) calendar days with photos of the packaging and the module. ECM Tech Center will arrange a replacement or refund.

GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE

ECM Tech Center serves customers in Brazil and abroad. We receive modules for repair shipped from any country and make sales with international delivery.

International shipping and delivery

For customers outside Brazil, the following conditions apply:

  • Recommended courier: DHL, FedEx, UPS or an equivalent service with tracking and cargo insurance. Avoid international Correios services for high-value electronic modules;
  • Customs declaration: the module must be declared as "automotive electronic part for repair and return" (automotive electronic module for repair and return). Incorrect declaration or undervaluation may result in the shipment being held at customs;
  • Temporary import regime: we recommend checking with a customs broker about the possibility of using the temporary import for inward processing regime, which allows the module to enter and leave the country without taxation. ECM Tech Center provides supporting documentation (service order and technical report) for customs purposes upon request;
  • Fees and taxes: the customer is responsible for all import, export, customs and customs-clearance fees, both when shipping and when the module is returned. ECM Tech Center does not cover third-party customs costs;
  • Tracking: the customer must share the tracking number after dispatch via WhatsApp or e-mail;
  • Delivery of purchased products: for module purchases, we ship internationally via DHL or FedEx subject to a prior quote. Delivery time varies by destination country. The customer pays the international shipping and any import taxes of the destination country.
