AlienTech KessV2 — ECU Reprogramming via OBD, Boot, and Bench
The KessV2 is AlienTech's ECU reading and writing tool for reprogramming via the OBD port and via bench (boot mode). It allows direct reading and writing of the control unit's memory, without the need for soldering or component removal in the vast majority of applications. It is the choice of professionals working with chiptuning and series reprogramming in trucks, buses, and heavy machinery.
What is the KessV2 System
The KessV2 operates with a physical dongle (authentication hardware) and protocol licenses called FIDs (File ID), which are permanent — once purchased, they are linked to the dongle forever. Each FID enables a specific manufacturer or ECU family.

- Reading and writing calibration maps via OBD (vehicle on or off)

Difference between KessV2 and KTAG

KessV2: primarily works via OBD. Ideal for field and series reprogramming.

KTAG: exclusively works on the bench via BDM, JTAG, and boot pins. Ideal for damaged or locked ECUs.
