What is the MB Star C6 — and what is it for

The MB Star Diagnosis C6 DoIP VCI is the latest diagnostic interface in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, replacing the SD C4 and C5 versions. With support for the DoIP (Diagnostics over IP) protocol, it offers faster and more accurate communication for advanced diagnostics and programming of complex systems.

Compatible with Mercedes-Benz vehicles from 1989 up to the latest 2024 models, the C6 covers the entire range: passenger cars, heavy trucks, construction machinery, Maybach, Smart, and Fuso. It operates with 12V (light vehicles) and 24V (diesel trucks and buses).

The included software is XENTRY 2023.09, with additional support for DTS Monaco, EPC, WIS, and Star Finder.

Advantage over SD C4/C5: The C6's DoIP support allows for faster and more accurate SCN coding. The robust and compact construction eliminates external power supply, internal fans, and batteries — reducing points of failure.
