What is the DAF VCI560 with DAF Davie — and what is it for?

The DAF VCI560 MUX + DAF Davie Software set is DAF Trucks' official diagnostic tool for XF, CF, and LF trucks manufactured between 2010 and 2023. This is a complete OEM diagnostic tool: no other multi-brand tool accesses all DAF electronic systems with the depth and functions that Davie offers.

With automatic communication protocol detection (K-line, L-line, or CAN), the VCI560 connects to the vehicle via the OBD port and to the computer via USB. Power comes from the vehicle itself (8–32V DC), with an internal NiMH battery providing up to 60 seconds of backup during key changes.

The included version is DAF Davie XDc II Runtime 5.6.1, with DAF Davie Application 75.03 and DAF Davie Parts Rapido Subset 15.12FO.

Why DAF Davie instead of a multi-brand scanner?

Multi-brand tools like Nexiq or Delphi read some DTCs from DAF trucks via J1939, but cannot access deep functions: calibration of replacement modules, forced DPF regeneration, tachograph configuration, ECAS adjustment, or EOL mode. For any serious intervention on a DAF's electronic systems — ECU replacement, aftertreatment, or ECAS — Davie is indispensable.
